WEEK 1: LECTURE -
We were given introduction to the course, aims and goals for the module. We discussed assignment criteria, marking scheme and deadlines for both group and individual coursework. This was followed by lecture on Management and Information Systems, covering subtitles on
1) IT Megatrends in the Information Age, (Social Media), Big Data, Cloud Computing, Mobile Computing
2) Information Systems (IS) Professional Core Competencies, such as technical competency, hardware, software, networking, and databasing
3) Zero Moment of Truth (ZMOT), which is the summary of today's multi-channel consumer decision-making for product purchase where they search, review ratings, styles, prices and comments on social media before visiting a retailer
WEEK 1: SEMINAR -
We discussed forming groups, choosing a particular business to visit and interview, areas we have to focus on, deadlines for group and individual course work submission. Furthermore, we formed the groups, chose our SME business to visit, discussed roles for each member in the group and set up group whatsApp for us to communicate. We discussed how to do good presentation and course work.
